On December 26, the Head of the Personal Data Protection Agency, Grigor Nersisyan, met with Victoria Ohanyan, Head of UNICEF’s Access to Justice Program. The Agency Head expressed gratitude for UNICEF’s attention to the right to personal data protection and its consistent efforts in implementing joint programs.
Specifically, as a result of this year’s joint efforts between the two organizations, a guide titled “Regulation of Personal Data Processing in Educational Institutions” was developed and published. Based on this guide, a series of training sessions is planned to be conducted in schools across Armenia. Educational institutions in the Tavush region have been selected as the beneficiaries of the program’s first phase.
Both parties once again emphasized the importance of protecting children’s personal data rights and pledged to unite their efforts in developing children’s ability to use the internet safely.
